In creating these lasting tributes of love and joy, these keepsakes serve as a heartfelt celebration of the beauty and significance of our furry friends.Through my artwork, I aim to capture the personality, expressions, and emotions of our cherished pets, during good times; sometimes in the saddest of moments.

I believe that art has the capacity to exceed language and capture the inexplicable emotions that spring from these unique relationships we have with our furry friends. I wish to communicate the bliss and comfort that pets bring to our day-to-day lives. - KD

Do you have a Wait List?

Yes! I schedule Commissions in between my Self Portrait Series Work. If i am not able to approve a Commission application, you are placed on a wait-list after

a free 10 min. consultation.

FOR ALL REMEMBER ME's: I am always available to do Remember Me (End of Life) Requests. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me.  These sessions will be moved to the top of my calendar. **The only time I do not accept a session is when I'm traveling.

How do you handle safety?
PART 1 - Portrait Sessions

Safety at the studio is top priority for clients, pets and Artist. Pets are to be leashed at all times. To avoid  distractions, I ask that owners do not speak or command their pets unless instructed by me.  In the studio your pet MUST see me as a leader in order to focus on my directions when behind the camera.  I will switch your pet to a thin lead to help guide them.  The lead will be edited out in post-processing of images.

AGAIN - PLEASE BE AWARE:

Should a Pet be determined to be too anxious or aggressive the session will be terminated . immediately

Can I cancel?

I have a very clear

Cancelation Policy:

For all portrait sessions; Clients MUST cancel 48-72 hours prior to the date of the session and re-book at an agreed date and time with the Artist. FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. The fees can be credited towards a future session within 6 months of the initial session.

For all digital artwork; Clients MUST cancel within 24-48 hours after consultation and re-book at an agreed date and time with the Artist to avoid start time on an art piece.  FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. The fees can be credited towards a future start date within 3 months of the initial session.

What is a Print Release Form?

Every Client signs a Print Release.

A Print Release allows you to download your purchased images and print them for personal use at your preferred print location. The Artist | Photographer, Katherine Dickson will retain the full Copyrights which means you are not permitted to alter the images, sell them, or submit them to any publications or contests without prior written approval from Katherine Dickson.

What are the differences between a Pet Portrait Collection and a Remember Me Session?

Pet Portrait Collections is a more comprehensive session which may include family members, dress up, and play.

Remember Me's sessions focuses mainly on the EOL Pet.

Sessions are short and quick for the comfort of your pet.

Remember Me Session, are reserved for Senior Pets that are in the end stage of life. Or Pets who have been diagnosed with a terminal diagnosis.

**Please do not book a Remember Me if you are looking for Family Sessions with your healthy Pet. A Pet Portrait Collection is your best choice.

How long before I receive my images?

For all portrait sessions; you will receive a link to an Online Gallery.  Your Online Gallery with high resolution digital images will be available within 10-12 business days of your session date. We will schedule a date to review your gallery for you to select your prints/ product orders. I do not provide USB drives.

For all digital art sessions; delivery date is based on scope of work.

How do you handle safety?
Part 2 - Remember Me's

Safety at the studio | Locations is top priority for clients, pets and Artist. Pets that are ill may be unpredictable. In studio work, I keep a pets leashed at all times unless they are immobile.

In cases of unexpected events such as illness or accidents, the Artist will make reasonable allowances. * Should Artist ever happen to be tardy, they will take immediate steps to notify you, and your session will be extended accordingly to ensure that your valuable time is not compromised in any way.

My Pet is dying. I'd like to have memories with them...

For Remember Me's sessions, You and your Pet are my focus. During this difficult time I am here to make it as easy as possible. Generally, calls come in for three types of Remember Me's

1. My Pet is a senior and I'd like to capture picture now; before it's too late.

2. It's my Pet's transition time. Can you please come and take pictures of their last day with us?

3. My Pet is dying. Will you come to the vet with us (or be with us here at home) as they pass...

Do not let time, finances or any doubt stop you from getting the memories of your fur baby.

No matter which one is your situation, i am here for you.

Do not hesitate to reach out to me.

I Understand.

What if my Pet is shy, active or too sick?

For all portrait sessions, I will spend the first 10 -15 min of the session in play-mode getting to know your pet. This "decompressing" time helps to get pets acclimated to the studio, camera and me. It is a super important bonding time.

PLEASE BE AWARE:

Should a Pet be determined to be too anxious or aggressive the session will be terminated

.immediately

What if the images are not what I expected?

I know you will LOVE the images of your furry companion! However, if there is an issue or you would like different edits, I am here to discuss your concerns. My goal is to have happy, satisfied clients and pet friends. You can always reach me HERE

What if YOU (the Artist) can't do the session?

In the unlikely event that the I am unable to perform due to an injury, illness, act of God, act of terrorism, or other cause beyond my control; including the COVID-19 outbreak, a new date for your session will be rescheduled at your convenience. If the situation should occur that an unsuitable date is not able to be scheduled, the session fee will be refunded.
